Training Dogs Not To Bite And How To Deal With Bites

It is hazardous for a dog to bite a person. If you are bitten, you must be sent to a doctor immediately to prevent unthinkable situations. And a good dog may bite a person one day; what if a dog bites him? As a dog owner, what should I do to correct the bad habit of dog biting?

1. Correct the precautions for dog biting

Immediately and severely reprimanding and indulging the dog to bite at the owner will develop the bad habit of biting. It should be warned in time that it is wrong to bite. Even a small breed of dog has sharp teeth. It must be corrected as soon as possible. Raising your chin and making loud noises to intimidate it are all very effective methods.

2. When it is quiet, praise and reprimand.

The dog will calm down when frightened. At this time, you should praise it. Sometimes when a dog sees a stranger, it will bite because of alertness or fear. At this time, you can ask a friend for help and train the dog to get in touch with strangers.

3. With the help of friends

First, with the help of friends, eliminate the dog's fear of outsiders. When letting a friend feed the dog food, let it see that the food is handed to the friend from the owner to understand that this person is trusted by the owner and is not a dangerous person. Suggestion: After eating the food given by a friend, two people praise it together, so that they can gradually get used to contact with strangers.

The method of training dogs is not to bite people randomly.

1. Get rid of the bad habit of biting.

Although dogs are man's best friends, they still bite people under stress or fear. If the dog is timid to the owner and indulges it, he will think that he is the stronger one when the dog grows up. If the discipline is not strictly enforced, it will develop the habit of biting.

2. Get rid of barking dogs.

If your dog keeps barking, he must be severely reprimanded. First, you can lift the leash to give a severe warning to your dog, and then the parents can pinch the dog's chin and tell it not to bark.

Suggestion: If your dog stops barking after being reprimanded, he should be praised by saying good things, such as sound, beloved, and good children.

3. Get rid of the puppies who like to jump on the owner's body.

They will also pounce on other people. They may be just a moment of playfulness without maliciousness, but they will still frighten and even hurt others. Be sure to let it get rid of the bad habit of punishing people. If they pounce or stand up to sniff the smell of people, they should be severely blamed.

4. Get rid of the biting of your pet while the dog is still young

You must fully demonstrate the owner's authority and not let it develop the bad habit of biting. Otherwise, it will be difficult to change this habit when it grows up. The owner should accurately distinguish between biting and acting like a baby!

(1) Biting: When the dog takes the initiative to bite the owner's hand holding something, he must be blamed and even lightly patted it, indicating that this is improper behavior.

(2) Acting like a baby: If he uses his tongue to lick his master's hand, this is an act of acting like a baby. If he is sure that the dog is acting like a baby, there is no need to blame him.

Emergency treatment in case of being bitten by a dog

1. Wash the bitten wound.

After being bitten by a dog, immediately wash the wound with soapy water (20% soapy water), no matter whether it is bleeding or not, for at least 20 minutes, and try to wash away the virus that may enter the wound. For severe bites, you should go to the hospital for treatment immediately.

2. Disinfect immediately after rinsing.

After rinsing, immediately use iodine (try not to use iodine that may damage the skin and mucous membranes) or 75% alcohol or 2%~3% iodine to wipe the inside and outside of the wound and the surrounding skin, and perform local disinfection treatment. May kill bacteria that may enter the damage.

3. Inject rabies vaccine

If necessary, if bitten by a wild dog, as soon as possible to the local health and epidemic prevention department or a hospital with rabies vaccination qualifications to inject rabies vaccination, and inject rabies globulin or serum into the muscle around the wound to neutralize Rabies virus.
